QUEERSKINS: ark

Queerskins: ark continues the story of Mary-Helen—a devoutly Catholic mother who reconnects with her son, Sebastian, through his diary and her imagination. Envisioning a scene from Sebastian’s diary, she imagines him alive and in love.

AYIA ‘Easy’

To create a unique visual style representing the point of view of a mysterious monolith, director Salomon Lighthelm and VFX house Artjail required volumetric performances of the actors and dancers on location. This allowed them to match and intercut performances and environments through both filmic and digitized perspectives.

DRIP DROP

Made in collaboration with Chromista and Novelab, the experience reveals the stories of four individuals who didn’t “see themselves” in the creative industry, yet took action to great effect. The experience begins in a mysterious void where digitized versions of four people are floating. Viewers can bring each person to life by blinking, thus prompting an interview describing the adversity each has faced in the creative community.

The International Spy Museum
Cyber Infinity Room

Created with design studio Gallagher and Associates for the International Spy Museum in Washington D.C., the mirrored Infinity Room installation depicts the limitless expanse of cyberspace, and features interviews with cybersecurity experts on the methods that modern intelligence agencies use to combat cyber warfare.

The WaveVR: Imogen Heap

Musician, producer, and technologist Imogen Heap teamed up with social music platform The WaveVR to create the world’s first volumetric concert. Shot on location at Imogen’s house, the show takes you into the an intimate environment where you can sing along, dance, or just listen with other live viewers. Featured in The Verge’s video series “The Future of Music, Episode 1”.

Made This Way:
Redefining Masculinity

Director Elli Raynai takes photographer Irem Harnak’s series on transgender artists to a new level by presenting them and their artwork in a virtual gallery. Viewers can listen to the artists as they describe their art, transisions, and relationships with masculinity in a beautifully curated space.

Queerskins:
a love story

Creators Illya Szilak and Cyril Tsiboulski tell the story of an emotionally-charged conversation between grieving parents as they drive through the rural Missouri landscape. With a meticulous level of detail, the experience was created by combining volumetric, computer-generated, and 360-degree video elements to make the viewer viscerally feel as if they are in the car eavesdropping on the conversation.

Blackout VR

Created in-house by Scatter, the makers of volumetric capture software Depthkit, “Blackout” explores the lives of real-life passengers on the New York City subway. Viewers are able to freely roam around the subway car and listen to the thoughts of passenger from the most diverse of backgrounds.
